Privacy policy
Can’t Miss Marketing ("we", "us") respects your privacy. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, because we're based in Alberta, Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), which applies to how private businesses in Alberta handle personal information.
What we collect
- From you: your name, business name, email, phone number and anything you share in forms, the free score, the live demo or on calls.
- When you're a client: billing details, access to the accounts we manage for you, and your business's enquiries, reviews and results.
- Automatically: basic website analytics such as pages visited and device type. We don't sell this or use it to identify you.
How we use it
We only use personal information for the reasons we collected it: to reply to you, deliver our services, send invoices, improve our website and meet legal obligations. We'll ask for your consent before using it for anything new.
Your customers' information
When we handle enquiries, reviews or messages for your business, your customers' information belongs to you. We process it only on your behalf and only to provide the services you've asked for.
Sharing and storage
We never sell personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers that help us run Can’t Miss Marketing, such as email, payment, scheduling and advertising platforms, and only as much as they need. Some providers may store data outside Canada, in which case it's subject to the laws of that country. We protect information with access controls, strong passwords and encrypted connections, and we keep it only as long as we need it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits. Contact our privacy officer using the details at the bottom of this page. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Terms of service
These terms apply when you use our website or buy any Can’t Miss Marketing service. By signing up, you agree to them.
Our services
We provide the services described in your chosen package or quote. Anything outside that scope is quoted separately before we start.
Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information, timely access to your accounts and approval on content when we ask for it.
- Make sure anything you give us to use, such as photos, logos and offers, is yours to use and is accurate.
- Honour the prices, offers and bookings you've approved for us to share with your customers.
Payments
Monthly packages are billed in advance on the same date each month. Prices are in Canadian dollars and GST/HST is added. Ad spend is paid directly by you to the ad platform and is never included in our fees. If a payment is more than 14 days late, we may pause work until it's paid.
Ownership
You own your accounts, followers, reviews, ad history and the content we create for you once it's paid for. We may show non-confidential examples of our work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
Results
We work hard to grow your business, but we can't guarantee specific results, rankings, enquiries or sales. Estimates on our website, including the free score and live demo, are guides only.
Liability
To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. We're not responsible for issues caused by third-party platforms such as Google or Meta, including changes to their rules, outages or account decisions.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. We may update these terms from time to time, and we'll give active clients at least 30 days' notice of any important changes.

Minimum terms
Growth and Partner include advertising, promotions and enquiry handling that take a few months to build momentum, so they have a minimum term. Your term length is written in your agreement before you sign. When it ends, your plan continues month to month unless you renew, switch packages or give 30 days' notice.
Ending a contract early
If you end a Growth or Partner agreement before your minimum term is complete, a one-time $99 cancellation fee applies. There's no fee once your term is complete, and no fee on Starter.
Yearly billing
Yearly plans are paid upfront and include two months free. Because of the discount, they can't be refunded part-way through the year.
Changing or pausing
You can move to a higher package at any time. Moving to a lower package takes effect at the end of your current term. Pauses of up to two months a year can be arranged and extend your term by the same length.
Founding Client Offer terms
- Available to our first 10 clients only, on Growth, Partner or any future package priced above Growth.
- The founding price is 20% off the standard monthly price at the time you join, and it's locked for as long as your account stays active without a break.
- If you cancel and later return, standard pricing applies.
- The offer can't be combined with other discounts, and standard contract terms apply.
Marketing consent (CASL)
Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) sets rules for sending commercial emails and texts. We follow it for our own messages and for every message we send to your customers on your behalf.
- We get consent first. We only send marketing emails or texts, such as promotions, newsletters and review requests, to customers who have agreed to hear from you, or where CASL allows implied consent, for example a recent purchase or enquiry.
- We help you collect it properly. We set up sign-up forms, booking checkboxes and in-person scripts that clearly ask permission, and we never pre-tick consent boxes.
- We keep records. We note when and how each person gave consent, so you can show it if you're ever asked.
- Every message identifies you and includes your contact details and an easy way to unsubscribe.
- Unsubscribes are honoured fast, within 10 business days and usually the same day.
- We don't buy or rent contact lists.
Replies to enquiries a customer started, like answering a quote request, aren't marketing messages, so they don't need separate consent.
Reply time promise
On Growth and Partner, we promise to reply to at least 99% of enquiries within 15 minutes each calendar month. If we don't, your Can’t Miss Marketing fee for that month is free.
- It covers new enquiries that come in through the channels we manage for you, such as your website form, Facebook, Instagram and Google messages, during your package's reply hours: 7 am to 10 pm on Growth and around the clock on Partner.
- It doesn't cover spam, automated messages, or outages and delays caused by third-party platforms.
- Your reply times are tracked in your client portal. If we miss the promise, we'll credit that month's fee on your next invoice automatically. You don't need to ask.
- The credit covers our package fee only, not ad spend or one-time add-ons.
Referral program terms
- Any active Can’t Miss Marketing client can refer another business. A referral counts once the referred business signs an agreement for Growth, Partner or Busy Season Boost and their first payment has cleared.
- The referred business gets one month of their package free, added at the end of their contract term.
- The referring client gets one month of their own package free for each successful referral. It's added at the end of their current contract term, or credited on their next invoice if they're on a month-to-month plan.
- There's no limit on the number of referrals. Free months cover our package fee only, not ad spend or add-ons, and have no cash value.
- The referred business must be new to Can’t Miss Marketing and must tell us who referred them when they sign up. Self-referrals and referrals between businesses with the same owner don't count.
- If either account is cancelled before the free month is applied, that free month is forfeited.
